In this blog, we will show you how to add, remove and manage users in a few of your most commonly used Google tools, such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Business Profile (GBP), and YouTube.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) User Management
Login here: https://analytics.google.com/
Select the GA4 Account you would like to manage, then go to the Admin Settings (gear icon) in the lower left corner.
Once you are in the Admin Settings, go to Account Access Management. This is where you will manage users by adding them, removing them, or changing their permissions.
Go to the Blue (+) and select Add Users. You can also remove users from this screen or select them to change their permissions.
Enter the Email Address for the user you would like to add and select the following Role Permission:
- Administrator – full data visibility and ability to connect Google tools and reporting dashboards
- Select Administrator if you are adding the iNet Media team’s email
- Editor – data editor
- Marketer – audience editor
- Analyst – data viewer with limited sharing
- View – data view only
- None – no abilities
Once you’ve included the email and selected the role permission, click Add. You’re done!
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Login here: https://tagmanager.google.com/
Select the GTM Account you would like to manage, then go to the Admin Settings (gear icon) in the upper right corner. If you only have access to one GTM Account, you will go directly to the next step.
Once you are in the GTM Account, go to the Admin Tab and select User Management. This is where you will manage users by adding them, removing them, or changing their permissions.
Go to the Blue (+) and select Add Users. You can also remove users from this screen or select them to change their permissions.
Enter the Email Address for the user you would like to add and select the following Account Permission:
- Administrator – full data visibility and ability to connect Google tools and reporting dashboards
- Select Administrator if you are adding the iNet Media team’s email
- User – basic access
Once you’ve included the email and selected the account permission, click Invite. You’re done!
Google Business Profile (GBP)
Login here: https://business.google.com/
Select the GBP Account you would like to manage, then go to See Your Profile on the right. If you only have access to one GBP Account, you will go directly to the next step.
Once you see your profile, go to the Three Vertical Dots and select Business Profile Settings. This is where you will manage users by adding them, removing them, or changing their permissions.
Next, go to People and Access and select Add.
After clicking Add on the People and Access screen, you can enter the Email Address for the user you would like to add and select the following Access Permission:
- Owner (this means Admin on GBP) – full data visibility and ability to connect Google tools and reporting dashboards
- Select Owner if you are adding the iNet Media team’s email
- Manager – basic access
We will always ensure the business owner or your marketing manager retains the Primary Owner status.
Once you’ve included the email and selected the access permission, click Invite. You’re done!
YouTube
Login here: https://www.youtube.com/
Go to the upper-left Profile Icon to ensure you are logged into the correct YouTube Account that has access to your company videos. If this is not the correct account, you can easily Switch Accounts you have access to here. Once you have the right-rail menu open, go to YouTube Studio to find your user management settings.
Once you are in YouTube Studio, go to the Settings (gear icon) in the lower left corner. This will open a pop-up window. In the pop-up window, go to Permissions and then go to Invite.
Before you can manage users, YouTube will force a 2-factor authentication which will use the recovery settings in your Google Account.
Once you have selected invite, you can enter the Email Address for the user you would like to invite and select the following Access Permission:
- Manager – full data visibility and ability to connect Google tools and reporting dashboards
- Select Manager if you are adding the iNet Media team’s email
- Editor – basic access
- Editor (limited) – basic access with some restrictions
- Subtitle editor – can only edit subtitles
- Viewer – view only
- Viewer (limited) – view only with some restrictions
Once you’ve included the email and selected the access permission, click Done. You’re done!
